General Membership
Membership in our National Residence Hall Honorary chapter gives students the opportunity to advance themselves under our three pillars, while giving back to the campus, Ames, and greater Iowa community. The total number of members our chapter is allowed to maintain is equal to 1% of the student population living in on-campus residence halls (in FY2026, equal to 71 members). However, students do not need to stay on campus for their entire time at Iowa State to apply for membership within our chapter.
Membership in NRHH is granted for the duration of a student’s time at Iowa State, as long as they maintain the active membership requirements outlined below. For students wishing to participate in study-abroad experiences or student exchange programs, membership can be retained as long as students plan to return to campus as soon as that experience has ended.
If you are interested in becoming a member of our organization, please fill out the application using this link.
