Rising Star Form

Recognition is not only a pillar of our National Residence Hall Honorary chapter at Iowa State, but also a key aspect of regional and national involvement throughout the Midwest and across the country. Our chapter focuses on recognizing the actions of students and staff within the Residence Life community as they fulfill their roles in ways that further our community or demonstrate exemplary dedication to their position/role as a student.
The Rising Star Form was re-vamped throughout the 2024-2025 academic year as a way to increase recognition on campus and motivate our community to recognize a greater variety of students and staff. The Rising Star Form allows anyone to submit an act of kindness, notable completion of duties, or outstanding service, and will relay this information to those who the submission is about in order to congratulate them for the work they are doing. Additionally, the Director of Recognition and the Recognition Committee will choose Rising Star submissions to receive further recognition from the chapter.
If you are interested in submitting a Rising Star, please fill out this form.
MACURH Of-the-Month Submissions
The Midwest Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (MACURH) sponsors a program where institutions can submit pieces of recognition to be voted on and included in monthly publications. Within the NRHH Student Chapter, any quality submissions to the Rising Star form, that include at least 300 words, are automatically submitted by the Director of Recognition to the regional database for consideration. Rising Star submissions that are forwarded to the region and selected as an Of-the-Month in their respective category will see further recognition and expressions of gratitude from our chapter to the student or staff member who was originally nominated.
